Neus Vegas I Morales
PhD candidate
Neus completed her Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Artificial Intelligence, jointly offered by Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Radboud University, and Sapienza University of Rome. For her master’s thesis, she joined Prof. Benny Chain’s group at University College London (UCL), where she analyzed large language model (LLM) representations of T cell receptors for cancer prediction. She is now pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Tissue Medicine and Pathology at the University of Bern as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie MIRACLE project, focusing on the development of interpretable deep learning models for multi-omics and multi-scale immune system data. Her research aims to uncover key molecular and morphological patterns in cardiometabolic disease (CMD), improving the interpretability and reliability of AI models to support clinical decision-making.
